Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited citizens to participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ movement by uploading their photos with the Tiranga on the harghartiranga.com website from 13th to 15th August.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Prime Minister stated, “The Tiranga symbolizes the spirit of freedom and national unity. Every Indian feels an emotional connection with the Tricolour, which inspires us to work harder towards national progress. I urge all of you to take part in the #HarGharTiranga movement from 13th to 15th August.

The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative was launched by the Ministry of Culture in 2022 to commemorate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. As part of this initiative, the ministry introduced the Har Ghar Tiranga website, where Indian citizens can virtually pin the national flag and share their Tiranga selfies.
How to upload Tiranga selfies
Citizens can upload their selfies with the national flag on the Har Ghar Tiranga website by following these steps:
- Click on the ‘Upload Selfie with Flag’ button on the homepage of the website.
- A pop-up will appear, where you need to enter your name.
- Upload your Tiranga selfie by selecting the appropriate file.
- Click on the ‘Submit’ button. Please note that you will need to provide consent for using your name and photos on the ‘harghartiranga.com’ website to upload your selfie.
The website also allows users to search for their Tiranga selfies. If your selfie is not visible, you will be able to find it starting from 16th August 2023, 8:00 am onwards.
