The leak, which MEGAsizeGPU shared on Twitter, reveals that Nvidia has already begun shipping the RTX 4060 as of June 12, with its availability to be launched on June 29. Review embargos will lift on June 28 for cards priced at $299 (MSRP), and on June 29 for cards produced by Nvidia’s board partners with slightly better specs.
Reports suggest that the GPU’s specs are inferior to the RTX 3060, with only 3,072 CUDA cores and 8GB of memory on a 128-bit bus. However, as we previously noted, its more modest price of $299 may compensate for the limited VRAM. The RTX 4060’s TGP will be lower than that of the RTX 3060, running at 115W instead of 170W. The card will likely have a larger cache size like the other RTX 40-series cards, which may balance the reduced core count.
