Staying motivated during a running injury with Nike Training Club

As a dedicated runner, regular physical activity is essential to my wellbeing, so when an injury left me unable to run earlier this year, I was at a loss. However, I refused to let this setback prevent me from staying active, and I turned to the Nike Training Club app for guidance.

What sets Nike Training Club apart from other apps is its flexibility and variety. With a wide range of workout lengths, difficulty levels and equipment requirements, the app gives me the freedom to exercise anytime, anywhere. Whether I have a full gym at my disposal or just a little bit of free space, I can always find a suitable workout.

As a creature of habit, I initially favored using the app at my local climbing gym to escape my apartment, but I soon discovered the benefits of the Beginner classes, which offer a taste of different stretches and lifts without requiring a full hour commitment. As I gained confidence, I progressed to Intermediate classes and discovered even more options, no matter what my fitness goals were that day.

What really impressed me about Nike Training Club was its four main workout focuses: Endurance, Mobility, Strength and Yoga. These categories facilitated my foot rehab journey, enabling me to strengthen my entire body while focusing on my most stubborn area of injury.

To add more structure to my routine, I turned to Nike Training Club’s training plans. These two dozen customizable options provide a comprehensive roadmap for even the most advanced fitness enthusiasts. And while I do wish I could customize some of the pre-made programs further, Nike Training Club is a free app that offers almost unlimited access to workouts, so it is hard to complain.

If you’re looking for an alternative to Nike Training Club, there are many options available, including Apple Fitness Plus, Peloton Gym, Fitbit Premium and Adidas Training by Runtastic. However, I have found that Nike Training Club remains my preferred fitness app, thanks to its variety, flexibility and effectiveness.
