Exciting News: Beloved Characters Rain and Smoke Return to the Mortal Kombat Universe
The Mortal Kombat community can rejoice as fan-favorite characters Rain and Smoke are making a comeback in the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1. The recently released trailer showcases their thrilling appearances in the game.
Smoke, a popular member of the Lin Kuei, makes a long-awaited return in Liu Kang’s new era. As a fellow member of the Lin Kuei, Smoke teams up with Scorpion and Sub-Zero to protect Earthrealm.
Rain, a skilled High Mage from Outworld, also joins the roster with his water-based magic abilities. His new design features a more wizard-like appearance compared to his previous iteration.
The trailer also introduces other notable fighters, including Scorpion and the cyborg versions of the Lin Kuei, Sektor and Cyrax. Fans will also be pleased to see a human version of Frost making an appearance as well.
Both Smoke and Rain showcase impressive moves in the trailer. Smoke’s teleportation and swift attacks are a highlight, particularly his devastating knife techniques in the X-ray attacks. Meanwhile, Rain exhibits his Waterbender-like abilities, summoning powerful lightning balls from rainclouds.
