Steering the conversation back to the purpose of their meeting in Rome, Weintraub asks Pegg if he captured any behind-the-scenes videos of Tom Cruise performing stunts for Dead Reckoning Part One. Although Pegg is familiar with on-screen death-defying acts, Cruise takes it to a whole new level in this film, particularly with a terrifying bike jump over a cliff followed by parachute deployment. Pegg shares that he managed to record a video of the stunt from the side and describes the mixture of fear and exhilaration among the cast as they witnessed Cruise’s risky feats. The relief they felt when Cruise emerged unharmed after each dangerous maneuver was palpable.
Moving beyond big-budget films, Pegg reveals his return for The Boys Season 4, reprising his role as Hughie’s father. Although he hasn’t been heavily involved in the series since Season 1, Pegg expresses his excitement to reunite with the cast and tease the forthcoming insanity of the show. He assures fans that The Boys will only get crazier, promising a wild ride for viewers.
