The film’s details have been kept under wraps, but the first teaser suggests that it revolves around the life of Jawan, a former soldier who has gone rogue and is now wreaking havoc. As the release date approaches, Khan has been sharing enticing tidbits, including fresh posters.
In the recently shared images on SRK’s social media, Nayanthara, Khan’s co-star, takes center stage. The character posters showcase Nayanthara as the ultimate boss, donning a suit and armed with a gun ready for battle. With her hair pulled back into a slick ponytail and sunglasses shielding her eyes, she stands alongside a fully masked soldier holding a shield. The slogan, “Ready or not, she’s got the Glock,” boldly appears at the top of the poster. Khan’s own caption for the poster unveiling adds to the intrigue, describing Nayanthara as “the thunder that comes before the storm!” While little is known about Nayanthara’s character, it seems that she is on the hunt for Jawan rather than fighting by his side.
Jawan is Khan’s Second Theatrical Release of 2023
Jawan marks a rebirth for King Khan, who has dominated Indian cinema for three decades primarily through romantic roles. This project is his second foray into the action genre, following the success of Pathaan, a Mission Impossible-style blockbuster unleashed earlier this year.
As Khan continues to explore different genres, he takes a risk with Jawan, an action-packed film that hints at elements of a psychological thriller. The first trailer showcases Khan’s versatility, featuring glimpses of his various characters in the film, including one with a menacing half-mask.
