The Electric-type cards of Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet include numerous new species and beloved classics such as Pachirisu and Toxel.

The Scarlet & Violet era of the Pokémon TCG has commenced. Following the conclusion of Sword & Shield, the Scarlet & Violet era began in March 2023, highlighting the ninth generation of Pokémon games and the new region: Paldea. This era kicked off with the release of the Scarlet & Violet base set on March 31st, 2023 in the United States, bringing significant and lasting changes to the hobby. The cards now have silver borders, matching the Japanese releases. Additionally, each pack now guarantees at least one holo-rare and two reverse holos. The standout feature of this era is the lowercase ex, which showcases a double holographic pattern with a horizontal shine and a starry sparkle. Full Art ex cards also feature a green, foil outline around the Pokémon. As for the Secret Rare section of future expansions, it will include Full Arts, Illustration Rares, Special Illustration Rare ex cards, Full Art Trainers, Special Illustration Rare Trainers, and Gold Hyper Rares. In today’s spotlight on the Scarlet & Violet base set, let’s explore some more Electric-type cards.

Sato’s artwork showcases Mareep in a textured style that combines colored pencils with intricate line art. Naoki Saito takes the voltage up a notch with an electrifying Pachirisu card, featuring bold colors and a dynamic style for this underrated Pika-clone. Finally, Yuu Nishida presents a common card featuring the Galarian species Toxel, depicted as feeling downcast on a rainy day. Adorable.
