Samsung Wallet now includes support for Indian users with digital IDs, flight boarding passes, FASTag, and more.

Samsung Wallet has introduced new features and updates in India, catering to the needs of Samsung Galaxy smartphone owners. With the Samsung Wallet app, users can securely store their official documents and manage their FASTag funds. This update enhances convenience for Samsung customers in India, where digital services are widely utilized for everyday transactions.

In a recent press release, it was revealed that the Samsung Wallet app now supports the storage and display of various digital documents, including PAN cards, Aadhaar cards, driver’s licenses, vehicle registration details, and Co-WIN vaccination certificates. Gadgets 360 has confirmed that the app on eligible Galaxy smartphones can indeed save and display vaccination certificates.

Furthermore, the updated Wallet app in India combines the functionalities of Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass. Users can now store boarding passes and book train tickets within the app. Additionally, they can conveniently recharge and manage their FASTag balance.

Samsung assures users that none of their stored documents will be collected by the company, as the data remains solely on the user’s device. The app utilizes the secure Samsung Knox platform and offers support for biometric authentication, guaranteeing the protection of user data.

To access the Samsung Wallet app, compatible Galaxy smartphone owners can update their existing Samsung Pay service. However, it’s important to note that not all Samsung phones support the app. To check if your phone is eligible, simply search for Samsung Pay on the Galaxy Store. Only compatible devices will be able to download the app.

Samsung Wallet initially launched in June of last year across seven countries including China, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the UK, and the US. It has since expanded to Australia, Brazil, Canada, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan.
