Galaxy AI Zoom-Features, better 10x zoom than the Galaxy S23 Ultra
In recent posts on X, leakers such as Ahmed Qwaider describe what users can expect. For example, using the new 5x telephoto camera for 8K video recordings is said to be possible. 10x zoom will also be supported in future with Samsung’s ‘Single Take’ feature. Speaking of 10x zoom: despite the lens only having an optical magnification of 5x, the quality of the 10x zoom is said to be very high, according to Ahmed on X. Chinese leaker Ice Universe goes one step further and promises “better 10x zoom quality” than the Galaxy S23 Ultra in recent tweet.
The higher quality of the new telephoto can also be used for portrait shots, which are supported with 1x, 2x, 3x and 5x zoom. Aside from the camera app, some new AI functions of the Galaxy S24 series have also become known. For example, it should be possible to slow down videos in the Gallery app in future (slow motion function) without having to use a video editor, and it should also be possible to compress videos directly in the Gallery. A “Browsing Assist” function (presumably only in the Samsung browser) can apparently translate and summarize selected content – classic generative AI functions.
