Patch 1.03 introduces, among unspecified stability fixes and improvements, a 60 frames per second option, making the PlayStation 5 version the first official one to run at 60 FPS. The lack of such an option impacted the port’s reception quite a bit, so it’s nice to hear how Rockstar Games addressed the issue.
While rumors of a modern, improved version of Red Dead Redemption have been circulating online for a while, the game only received a slightly enhanced port earlier this year on PlayStation consoles and Nintendo Switch. The game continues to be absent on PC as well, but there’s a chance it will eventually be released, as an announcement is up to the developers, according to Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick.
Red Dead Redemption is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. The game is also playable on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S via backward compatibility.
