PUBG Mobile Lite Review: Everything you need to know

No doubt, PUBG Mobile has been one of the most popular games available now on the Internet. And why do not be? It has been the best Battle Royale game ever brought on Mobile, especially on the Android platform. It features the best-in-class graphics, intensive gameplay, and a lot more features that brought a storm in the world of mobile gaming. And the best part of this game is it’s completely free to download and play that makes it more popular among the gamers worldwide.

However, being loaded with tons of features and heavy graphics, it requires a high-end smartphone to run smoothly. For a better experience, it requires a device with at least 3GB of RAM in it. And that what creates a mess for the users running on low-end phones with less than the asking requirements of the PUBG Mobile. To overcome this issue, PUBG Mobile team has announced PUBG MOBILE LITE. This is an optimized version of the PUBG Mobile that has been made specifically for low-end devices. Just a week before, PUBG Mobile Lite has been launched in India.

The PUBG Mobile Lite claims to offer the same gaming experience as on the original version on a low-end device that was quite surprising. As offering the same authentic experience on a low-end device is somewhat impossible. However, this can only be achieved by lowering the graphics and removing some of the knock-out features from the game. That’s what PUBG Mobile team has done in the Lite version. I have tried out PUBG Mobile Lite in the Redmi 7A with 2/16GB variant. And here’s my experience on that.

PUBG Mobile with Lowest Graphics

As already mentioned, PUBG Mobile is one of the highest graphics game available on Android. From the day it launched in India, the graphics of the game have only gone better with the new updates. So, for the players have been playing PUBG Mobile from long will be finding hard to satisfy themselves on PUBG Mobile Lite.

Honestly, PUBG Mobile Lite doesn’t look as good as PUBG Mobile. It comes with the lowest graphics with fewer details and textures. The grasses and the grounds appear to be bland and the building, walls and other things have got very simple textures. However, when you realize that you are enjoying the game in just 2GB of RAM, the graphics start to make sense.

PUBG Mobile Lite comes with a default graphics setting that works blazing fast. You will not find any sort of lags and frame drops in the most crowded places. Regardless of the low graphics, it a really worth package to get the PUBG experience on low-end devices.

As of now, Erangle is the only map available in the game to hunt down enemies. However, the graphics of this map has vanished and there is plenty of details seen on the walls and the buildings. Also, Erangle also misses some of the most popular spots on the Map such as Pochinki, Georgopool and many other and got replaced by some new spots. Overall, it has been worth to get the PUBG experience on Rs. 6,000 phone is quite amazing.

Diluted Gameplay Physics

Apart from realistic graphics, the thing which makes the PUBG Mobile one of the most popular game is its gameplay physics. The PUBG Mobile comes with a great console-like environment on a mobile platform. It let the players control the gun recoil and the direction of air affecting your shot while sniping on a rooftop just like a premium shooting game. Unfortunately, the PUBG Mobile Lite tones down that experience to remove the extra-loads from the resources.

To make the game run smoothly without any lag, some of the most authentic actions have been removed from the game in the light version. Some of the actions such as gun recoil, effects of wind on bullets and other minor details have been removed from the game. Even the special effects such as the blood splattering, body language of the characters have been diluted to keep the stress on the resources low. But deep down, you still get the same ‘last man standing’ gameplay you expect from PUBG.

Weapons are the same that you get in the original PUBG Mobile. The most notable thing which I have come across while playing the PUBG Mobile Lite is the lifespan of the characters have been increased. That means it will take more bullets to be fired to knock down the enemies. And so, you need to carry more ammunition to be fired upon on the enemies.  I got to see the popular machine guns and rifles but the variety is quite restricted compared to the main game.

Apart from this, you get to see all sort of vehicles in the game to ride. Last but not least, one of the biggest change that has been done in the game is the reduced number of players in the game. Instead of 100 players at a time, you get to play with only 60 players. This reduces the game time in just 10-minutes to get the last-man-standing.

Conclusion

No doubt, PUBG Mobile Lite is a great game to played on the low-end devices to get the almost near PUBG experience. This is the perfect time killer game to be played on devices like Redmi 7A or Realme C2 that comes under a great budget. However, it lacks some of the details and features that you only get in the PUBG Mobile. Also, you only get to play in the Erangle map that what it looks like compromising with the game.

The game is certainly enjoyable as an online shooter and since it only weighs a total of 400MB, I suggest you should try it out once. Still, if you play PUBG Mobile, I suggest you to skip playing this battle royale in the Lite version.
