Meanwhile, Sony’s Spider-Man universe has encountered another setback as the production of their next film has been put on hold. This delay disappoints fans who have been eagerly awaiting its release.

Due to various delays and the writers’ strike, El Muerto will not meet its scheduled January 2024 release date, disappointing fans. Sony has officially removed it from the upcoming slate. Ironically, with this news, we are discovering the reasons why we should have been excited about the Bad Bunny vehicle. It turns out a voice actor from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was set to reprise their popular villain in live-action, marking the first time a Spider-Verse character would jump out of animation.
