Renowned leaker, Evan Blass, has shared renders of the ring cases for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, which are likely to be released alongside the phones.
The ring case for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 displays dual accent colors. The part of the case that attaches to the cover screen is black, while the other part is transparent. The ring can be pulled out and used as a convenient kickstand, providing a better grip for the phone. However, it is recommended not to use the ring for extended periods, especially with heavy phones, as it may restrict blood circulation in the finger.
On the other hand, the ring case for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 seems to be transparent all around. The ring is positioned on the lower half of the phone, which may not offer the most comfortable and natural grip for this flip phone. Nevertheless, it can still be utilized as a kickstand, supporting both landscape and portrait orientations.
Samsung already offers a similar accessory called the Clear Gadget case for the Galaxy S23 series, but there are a few differences. Unlike the circular ring on the Fold 5 and Flip 5 cases, the ring for the S23 series is not circular. Additionally, it is removable, and Samsung promotes the ability to attach other clip-on accessories, such as a small tripod stand. However, the leaked renders for the Fold 5 and Flip 5 cases do not reveal any such options. It remains to be seen if there will be other cases available that offer this functionality.
