It’s tough to get a gang together to play Pokemon Go at the best of times, but if you live out in the sticks, it can be a real challenge to find enough eager players to travel and take down some tough bosses with you.

Other players commented on the difficulty of Showcases, as well as their situation as a rural player, underneath the original post.

One comment says, “This showcase was brutal. Even with three stars in all categories I was still ending up in like 27th place.” Meanwhile, another comment adds, “Honestly with PhD Pikachu being so dope, you could find some showcases that are a bit remote and without much competition.”

A Pokemon Go player adds their own view, living in a city, by adding, “I live in Los Angeles, I’ve only ever won 2 and don’t plan on winning many others. Even getting top 10 is tough, usually 100+ on each one.”

It’s clear that whether you live in a rural area or a city, there are different ways that Pokemon Go can be a blessing or a curse. Hopefully, Niantic does more to balance these features in the future.
