Ripple Fiber, a fiber optic internet provider based in the Southeast, is now going live in Southern Pines and the Village of Pinehurst in North Carolina.

As the first to receive fiber internet in the area, over 18,000 residences are now able to utilize the innovative technology, with almost 8,000 more – including many in West End and Carthage – anticipated to have access by early 2026. This announcement follows the provider’s recent

groundbreaking in Whispering Pines.

“Moore County Government’s mission is to provide exceptional services that make Moore County a premiere community in which to live, work and raise a family.  Along with services of public safety, education, water and sewer, culture, recreation, etc., having access to high-speed internet, is very important in allowing our citizens to learn, work, communicate, participate, and stay informed,” said Wayne Vest, County Manager with North Carolina’s Moore County in a press release. “Moore County is pleased to see the investment that Ripple Fiber has made and continues to make in our communities – investment in fiber internet services that will ultimately allow our citizens, our communities, and our County to experience a brighter future.”

Driving digital transformation around the world, fiber internet is a powerful solution that functions at the speed of light. It transmits data through light pulses and is less susceptible to outside interference, making the fiber optic connections uniquely durable and strong. With Ripple Fiber’s future-focused approach, residents will have access to an infrastructure that will power the area for decades to come.

Whether subscribers are using their internet for remote work or video streaming, they can rely on this service for exceptional bandwidth and impressive upload and download speeds.

“Ripple Fiber is proud of our partnership with the communities in Moore County, and we’re grateful for the collaboration with local officials that has led us to this exciting milestone,” added Greg Wilson, Founder and CEO of Ripple Fiber in a press release. “We look forward to welcoming new customers with this launch and are eager to introduce our fiber internet offerings to more and more residents as our network grows.”

With its 10GB-ready network, Ripple Fiber provides thousands of homes with connectivity through the utilization of its fiber optic network and patented software. Its team is dedicated to expanding access and constructing strong infrastructures in communities nationwide.

“It’s an honor to now serve residents in Southern Pines and the Village of Pinehurst, providing homes with enhanced internet connectivity,” added Kylar Martin, Regional Executive at Ripple Fiber in a press release “Our team is committed to going above and beyond to deliver an exceptional customer experience, while also investing time and resources in helping the community grow and prosper.”
