A brand new image from “Insidious: The Red Door” has been unveiled in anticipation of the sequel’s upcoming release in theaters on July 7, according to Entertainment Weekly. This time around, the story takes a different turn as Dalton (played by Ty Sympkins) has grown up, and the film is a direct continuation of “Insidious 2,” serving as the fifth installment in the popular horror franchise. Prepare to enter a parallel dimension where unspeakable evil resides.
The return of Josh (Patrick Wilson) and Renai (Rose Byrne) is essential to any “Insidious” story involving the Lamberts. In this installment, the couple must once again confront the dangers associated with their son’s connection to the Further. Now, ten years after their last appearance, it’s time for Dalton to go to college. However, their road trip to his dorm may be disrupted by the return of demons from their past. The Lamberts must venture into the Further to eradicate the problem and face their deepest fears.
When the franchise first debuted in 2010, the Lamberts believed their house was haunted due to the appearance of mysterious phenomena. However, after they moved to a different location, Renai witnessed another ghostly encounter, prompting them to seek a different explanation. With the assistance of psychic Elise Rainier (played by Lin Shaye), the family discovers that Dalton is connected to the Further and the hauntings are unrelated to their physical surroundings. Even with these answers, they were unable to escape the clutches of the demonic shadow realm, as Josh becomes possessed by the end of the first movie.
In addition, Patrick Wilson is set to reprise his role as Arthur Curry’s half-brother, Orm, in the upcoming film “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.” After facing the demons from the Further, Wilson’s character will find himself battling against an ancient power that threatens both Atlantis and the surface world.
