As per Crunchyroll News, Yahoo! Japan unveiled the winners of its yearly Yahoo! Japan Search Awards on December 5, with Oshi no Ko securing the top position in the anime category.
Oshi no Ko received widespread acclaim beyond Japan, going viral following its initial episode release. The anime swiftly claimed the top spot on MyAnimeList upon its premiere. Additionally, it significantly boosted the circulation of the Oshi no Ko manga by 7 million copies.
Here are the top five anime that were the most searched on Yahoo in Japan:

- Hell’s Paradise
- Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End

The anime that stands out the most here is Frieren, which began its airing just two months ago in September 2023. The rankings are derived from search data spanning from January 1 to October 15, 2023.
