Open-source SDK now available for mini quantum computers that you can utilize

Quantum Brilliance, the company leading the development of miniaturized, room-temperature quantum computing products, has made its Qristal SDK generally available. This open-source software development kit is tailored to research applications integrated with diamond-based quantum accelerators. Previously in beta, this announcement unlocks the SDK to help accelerate the industry’s understanding of quantum accelerators’ abilities.

Australia’s Quantum Brilliance acknowledges the potential for its quantum technology in hybrid data center setups, satellites, and autonomous vehicle technology. The CEO, Mark Luo, stated, “We believe this powerful tool will help organizations around the world understand how quantum accelerators can enable and enhance productization and commercialization.”

The SDK includes C++ and Python APIs, Nvidia CUDA features, and customizable noise models. By providing hybridized approaches across HPC deployments, Quantum Brilliance aims to prepare customers for the introduction of quantum computing.

The company distinguishes its use of synthetic diamonds, which operate at room temperature, from system requirements that demand cryogenics, vacuum systems, or precision laser arrays. This approach boosts energy efficiency and increases versatility for deployment. As this technology evolves, Quantum Brilliance plans to minimize system size drastically and bring quantum computing opportunities accessible to anyone with space for a classical computer.
