nubia Z60 Ultra design officially revealed in full, 80W charging confirmed

The nubia Z60 Ultra is arriving on Tuesday, and the brand decided to lift the curtain and reveal its new flagship through multiple teasers on its Weibo account. The phone will arrive in Black, Cream, and Starry Night colors and will have an IP68 rating, a next-gen under-display camera and a triple cam setup on the back.

The ZTE-owned brand went above and beyond to demonstrate the IP68 capabilities of its Z60 Ultra. It got a free diver to take the phone under the water surface and take pictures.

The ingress protection rating is new for the Z60 Ultra, and the numbers indicate the phone can be submerged to a 1.5m depth for 30 minutes without any consequence.

The trio of cameras on the back will consist of a 50 MP main shooter with a 35 mm lens, an 18 mm ultra-wide camera, again with a 50 MP sensor and aa periscope telephoto shooter with OIS,.

The front-facing camera will be sitting under the screen, with the pixels on top being just 2.8um in size, and nubia calls the technology UDC Ultra.

The Starry Night design is inspired by the famous Vincent Van Gogh painting. It is the very same 3D multiple layer finish as seen on the Z50 Ultra.

Customers who select this option will also receive a themed protective case and a couple of postcards with some more artwork from the Dutch Post-Impressionist painter.

The phone is a testament to how much nubia is putting into making its flagship stand out in the flagship market. However, the main question is whether this phone will go global or the nubia Z60 Ultra will remain exclusive to ZTE’s home country of China.
