New Restock Date for PS5 in India: Pre-Orders for PlayStation 5 and God of War Ragnarök Bundle Will Open on February 7

PS5 enthusiasts in India can mark their calendars for the highly-anticipated February restock. Sony has announced that the upcoming batch of pre-orders for their current-gen console will go live on Tuesday, February 7 at 12pm. What sets this restock apart is the availability of standalone purchases for the disc version of the PS5, as well as a captivating God of War Ragnarök bundle. Unlike previous months, where gamers were limited to purchasing the PS5 Horizon Forbidden West bundle, this time they have alternative options to choose from. It’s worth mentioning that the prices have been revised since November, with the base PS5 now priced at Rs. 54,990.

For those eager for the God of War Ragnarök bundle, be prepared to invest Rs. 59,390, which is Rs. 5,400 more than the Horizon Forbidden West bundle that was priced at Rs. 53,990 in August. Sony India increased the prices for their current-gen console by 12.5 percent in November, resulting in the updated, higher price for these bundles. However, the prices of accessories remain unaffected for now. It’s important to note that God of War Ragnarök has been praised by fans and critics for its grand storytelling and improved combat mechanics. The title walked away with six awards at The Game Awards 2022, falling short of the coveted Game of the Year title, which was claimed by Elden Ring.

In terms of details about the God of War Ragnarök bundle, retailers have not yet provided any information. Nevertheless, games analyst Rishi Alwani predicts that the bundle will include a digital download code for the game. Pre-order banners and advertisements are currently live on various platforms, including Reliance Digital, e2z Store, and the Sony Center website. Additionally, PS5s are expected to be available for pre-order on Amazon, Croma, Flipkart, Gameloot, and Vijay Sales, based on previous releases. However, despite PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan’s assurances that the PS5 supply shortage won’t be an issue going forward, it’s uncertain whether this applies to India. Therefore, it’s wise to be prepared for the pre-order date, as the consoles tend to sell out quickly, similar to a flash sale.

Furthermore, PS5 enthusiasts can now enhance their gaming experience with the newly released DualSense Edge controllers. These controllers serve as Sony’s response to Xbox’s Elite Series gamepads and are priced at Rs. 18,990. They offer a range of customizable options, including button remapping, interchangeable thumb stick caps, and separate profile settings for seamless transitions between games.

According to ShopatSC, if you successfully pre-order a console, it should begin shipping around February 21. However, please be aware that due to COVID-19 restrictions, there might be delays depending on lockdown or curfew regulations in certain areas. The product’s delivery time will depend on your location.
