These features include the option to add a soundtrack to photo carousels, the ability to collaborate on posts and reels, the opportunity to join creators and artists on Reels, and an expansion of the music library.

Soundtrack on photo carousels:
Instagram users can now enhance their photo carousels with music directly from their smartphones. By adding a song, users can capture the mood and bring their carousels to life. This feature builds upon the previous launch of music for feed photos. Instagram also added the ability to add music to the Notes feature earlier this year.
Collaboration on a post or Reel:
Content creators can now invite up to three friends to co-author a feed post, carousel, or reel. Once the invited friends accept the invitation, the content will be visible to each collaborator’s audience and appear on their respective profile grids. Both private and public accounts can be added as collaborators. However, it is important to note that the invited collaborator must follow the invitee collaborator.
Join creators and artists on Reels:
Creatives and artists can utilize the ‘Add Yours’ sticker to invite their followers to participate in fun challenges or events they create on Reels. They can then select their favorite submissions to celebrate their fans’ creativity. Instagram assures that everyone can create their own reel, putting their unique spin on the ‘Add Yours’ prompt for a chance to be recognized by the creator. Those with public accounts will have their submissions accessible by others when tapping on the ‘Add Yours’ sticker. Notifications will be sent to those whose reels are chosen as favorites.

Instagram is expanding its music library to more countries in the upcoming weeks. Additionally, the platform has partnered with Spotify in Mexico and Brazil to present the top 50 songs from Instagram Reels through a new Reels Music Chart on Spotify.
