Microsoft’s Lawyers Claim Sony’s Project Q to Be a “Portable Version of the PlayStation 5”

Sony has confirmed that they are working on a handheld version of the PlayStation 5 console called Project Q. This information was revealed in court documents from a trial between the Federal Trade Commission, Microsoft, and Activision Blizzard. According to Microsoft’s lawyers, the handheld device will be priced at under $300 in the United States, which some consider to be on the higher side considering its features. It’s important to note that the device will focus on Remote Play functionality and is not designed to run games on its own like a traditional handheld console.

Beyond its Remote Play capabilities, not much is known about the Project Q device. It will feature an 8-inch, 1080p display and include all of the DualSense controller features such as adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. The exact release date has not been confirmed by Sony, but they have stated that it will be available sometime this year. As we are already in the second half of the year, more information on the device should be coming soon.
