Low System Requirements Expected for Remnant II on PC

Gunfire Games has unveiled the minimum and recommended system requirements for the PC version of the highly anticipated game, Remnant II, just one week before its launch. Interested players can find the specifications on the game’s store pages on either Steam or the Epic Games Store. Despite the stunning visuals seen in the trailers, the requirements are relatively low. However, specifics about the targeted resolution, frame rate, and graphics settings are still unknown.

Remnant II is the highly anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed third-person shooter that added its own twist to the Soulslike genre. The original game sold over three million units and gained immense popularity, with over 10 million downloads when it became free on the Epic Games Store.

In Remnant II, Gunfire Games has changed publishers, shifting from Perfect World Entertainment to Gearbox Publishing. The game was officially announced at The Game Awards 2022, and the developers have since shared their plans for expanding upon the best aspects of the original game, starting with procedural generation. The Hunter archetype offers a playstyle focused on long-range precision. Their perks are designed to maximize the impact of each shot and take advantage of every opportunity. Their standout ability, Dead to Rights, prolongs the duration of the Hunter skill when hitting ranged weak spots while the skill is active. Additionally, the Hunter possesses a unique ability called Marking, which allows them to see marked enemies through walls and makes them more vulnerable to critical hits from the entire team.

The Hunter’s first skill, Hunter’s Mark, instantly reveals and marks all enemies within a wide range while active, providing a valuable advantage to the entire team. With their second skill, Hunter’s Focus, aiming down sights automatically marks the target if the Hunter remains focused without shooting. This skill enhances the Hunter’s accuracy, damage, and critical chance as long as they continue aiming. The third skill, Hunter Shroud, grants the ability to swiftly slip into the shadows, making it easier to avoid incoming damage while moving. The Hunter’s final skill, Drop Shroud, marks enemies in close proximity, granting a substantial damage buff to both ranged and melee attacks.

If the Hunter refrains from attacking for a brief period, they will instantly re-shroud. Completing their kit is the archetype trait Long Shot, which extends the effective range of all firearms.
