Wilson expressed his enjoyment of playing the clever TVA agent and emphasized the depth of Mobius’ story in the upcoming episodes.
While I expected to have a good time, I truly relished the experience. Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to work on numerous movies and always have a great time, but with Loki, the enjoyment was truly exceptional, and it only grew during the filming of Season Two. Filming in London at Pinewood was an added bonus, but what really stood out was how Mobius’ story deepened.
In the first season of this Marvel Cinematic Universe series, Mobius was introduced as a highly respected agent of the TVA, responsible for apprehending rebel variants and preventing them from causing irreparable damage to the timeline. When Mobius encountered Loki, the variant portrayed by Tom Hiddleston who becomes the central character of the show, he recognized the immense potential within him. The pair embark on an important mission, joined by another variant of Loki portrayed by Sophia Di Martino, who seeks to dismantle the TVA after it ruined her life.
Throughout the series, subtle hints are dropped, revealing that every person working for the TVA has actually been abducted from their original timelines. Mobius is no exception; he was an ordinary individual before becoming a detective with the ability to travel through time. Even Judge Renslayer, played by Gugu Mbatha-Raw, deceived everyone, unsure of whether the actions of the TVA were justified or not. Ultimately, it is revealed that a powerful villain, seeking to eliminate his own variants from the multiverse, orchestrated the existence of the TVA. This villain aims to prevent a multiversal war that could devastate reality as known by the heroes of the Marvel universe.
