Latest Baldur’s Gate 3 trailer shows Maggie Robertson’s villainous shapeshifter – Destructoid

Larian Studios, the highly anticipated developers behind Baldur’s Gate 3, have revealed the captivating trailer featuring the nefarious character, Orin the Red. Orin, a formidable shapeshifter, is one of the three primary villains players will encounter throughout the game.

With the ability to assume the form of any person in the world, Orin presents numerous challenges for players. This means that trusting any NPC we come across in the game may be a risky endeavor, or even worse. She might even infiltrate our group without detection, so we must remain vigilant. Furthermore, she is dubbed a “master” of murder, suggesting a propensity for even more heinous deeds.

The voice and motion capture for Orin are provided by the talented Maggie Robertson, known for her role as Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village. Robertson describes Orin as an unsettling figure. Joining her in the trio of villains are J.K. Simmons, renowned for his roles in Whiplash and Invincible, as well as Jason Isaacs, known for his involvement in a certain wizard-themed franchise.

Simmons will portray General Ketheric Thorm, an seemingly invincible military leader.

Isaacs will portray Lord Enver Gortash, a corrupt politician determined to conquer Baldur’s Gate. He will likely try to persuade the main character to join his cause, but it is doubtful that his intentions are pure.

We eagerly await the opportunity to defeat all three of them.

Baldur’s Gate 3 will be released on August 3 on Steam and GOG. PlayStation 5 owners will have to wait until September 6 for its release. There is currently no information regarding the release on Xbox Series X|S.
