Sony has announced that Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, the popular PS5-exclusive platformer, will be released on PC on July 26, 2022. The PC port will feature various enhancements, including ray-traced reflections and shadows, support for ultrawide displays, up to 48:9 resolutions for triple monitor setups, and customisable button mapping for keyboard and mouse. The game will also support the PS5’s DualSense controller, bringing haptic feedback and adaptive triggers to PC gamers.
In addition, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart for PC comes with performance-enhancing upscaling technologies such as Nvidia DLSS 3, AMD FSR 2, Intel XeSS, and Insomniac Games’ in-house Temporal Injection. Players can choose from different quality levels for ray-traced reflections, but they will need suitable hardware to tinker with these settings fully. Standard graphics quality presets are also available.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is an interdimensional platformer that allows players to summon portals to bounce between planets and take out alien pirates. It introduces a new female playable character, Rivet, and her robotic friend, Kit, and will include early access to the Pixelizer Weapon and the Carbonox Armor set for pre-orders. The game is available for pre-order on Steam and Epic Games Store for Rs. 3,999.
Although the system requirements for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart PC have not been announced, the port is being developed by Nixxes Software, which has previously created near-perfect renditions of Spider-Man Remastered and Spider-Man: Miles Morales on PC.
