Akutami specifically praised Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2’s handling of the transitional period between arcs, calling it “super well done.” They also praised the key animation for the human worm part. It was just the usual Akutami nerding out about sakuga animation (translation via soukatsu_ on X).
Akutami also noted that they are behind on the “thing that starts with man— and ends in —script” so they were not able to watch the episode as it was airing. It seems like the author was working on manuscripts for the manga and had to catch up with the anime’s episode later.
The Shibuya Incident arc in Jujutsu Kaisen is a pivotal moment in the manga series. It is sure to be a major event in the anime adaptation as well.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is streaming on Ani-One Asia, Crunchyroll, and Netflix. The seventh episode of the anime will release on Thursday, September 7.
