Italian Minister Allegedly Proposes Musk and Zuckerberg Engaging in Gladiatorial Combat

Neither the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao fight nor the Robbie Lawler vs. Rory MacDonald (UFC) fight will be remembered as the greatest fight in recent history. However, the battle between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg has reportedly captured more attention than any other match in the digital world. The clash between these two tech giants, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter owner Elon Musk, was originally set to take place in Las Vegas. However, there are rumors circulating that the venue may be changed.

According to an online report, the Minister of Culture of the Italian government contacted Zuckerberg and proposed that the fight take place at The Colosseum in Rome, which is widely regarded as the most legendary fight theater in the world.

The report, citing sources, stated that both Musk and Zuckerberg “would love for the fight to go down at the Colosseum.” Additionally, Zuckerberg’s team reached out to UFC president Dana White, who then contacted the Italian minister.

Inside or outside the Colosseum

The Colosseum is one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and it is said that this arena has witnessed the demise of countless gladiators. While there have not been many large events held inside the amphitheater, which can only accommodate a few hundred spectators, there have been concerts outside the structure. Sir Paul McCartney performed inside the Colosseum in 2003 for a charity show, and people paid up to $1,500 to watch him.

So, it remains unclear whether the Musk vs. Zuckerberg fight will take place inside or outside the Colosseum, if it happens at all.

Musk’s response

Musk has responded to the news. In a tweet, he said, “There’s some chance the fight happens in the Colosseum.” He also shared a small clip of the Colosseum fight scene from the movie “Life of Brian” and commented, “I need to work on my endurance.” Recently, Musk had an impromptu training session with MIT research scientist and podcaster Lex Fridman.
