Noctua, a manufacturer of PC fans, is currently developing a 140mm fan that is expected to outperform their own products and those of their competition. Although the fan has had a rocky development and taken many years, it is finally almost completed, but it comes at a high price point of about $40. Noctua’s new fan is designed to optimize airflow and even uses beveled zones to push air away into the blades, ultimately dropping temperatures by about 3 degrees Celsius compared to their current champion, the NFS12B Redux-1200, while maintaining the same noise level. The upcoming 140mm fan is larger than the NFS12B Redux-1200, measuring 120mm, which could bring about quieter performance while maintaining the same or better airflow. Noctua’s latest creation is predicted to become available for launch early in 2024.
