Introducing a Cutting-Edge AI Tool for Enhanced Detection of Malicious Emails by Workers

Email security platform IRONSCALES is introducing a new generative AI tool called Themis Co-pilot for Microsoft Outlook. This beta tool, powered by OpenAI’s GPT models and hosted within the IRONSCALES infrastructure, aims to make users more aware of suspicious items in their inbox.

In today’s age, Business Email Compromise (BEC) and phishing attacks are becoming increasingly common, exploiting vulnerabilities in traditional email security solutions through social engineering tactics. IRONSCALES’ own research reveals that organizations are anticipating a 43% increase in BEC attacks this year.

BEC and Phishing

IRONSCALES highlights that the human element is often the weakest link when it comes to phishing attacks, according to research from the 2023 Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report (DBIR). Approximately 75% of breaches involve a human element.

To address this, Themis Co-pilot empowers all workers, regardless of their role or security skills, to detect fake and malicious emails. Users can leverage the AI tool to query suspicious emails, gaining real-time insights and confidently reporting threats.

Furthermore, Themis Co-pilot aims to reduce false positive rates reported by users, saving valuable time for security teams. As the tool is used more frequently to report threats, it will employ machine learning to automatically detect similar threats in the future.

The introduction of Themis Co-pilot builds upon the advancements of Themis AI, which is hailed as the industry’s first AI-powered security analyst by IRONSCALES. It utilizes a large dataset from millions of users and employs a process of reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF) to prevent breaches.

“With the introduction of Themis Co-pilot, we are bringing the next innovation that will enhance the ability of end users, regardless of their skill level, to thwart attacks without imposing additional cost or complexity on the organization,” said Eyal Benishti, CEO of IRONSCALES.
