New Delhi: 2023 was an eventful year for the entertainment industry. With star power back on the silver screen with films like SRK starrer ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’, Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger 3’ and Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ among others, it was a great year for the film industry. Social media personality Orhan Awatramani aka Orry became an overnight sensation courtesy his frequent spotting at high-society parties with star kids. While people flocked to the internet to keep a tab of all that trended throughout the year, internet also obsessed over few things that 2023 did not need.

His appearance on Salman Khan hosted reality show Bigg Boss 17 also garnered a lot of attention but more than anything, his collection of phone covers, which feature everything from screaming frogs to Rahul Gandhi’s biceps, became a bizarre internet obsession. People were more interested in discussing the cases than anything else.

 

Aaradhya Bachchan’s Haircut

A simple haircut given to Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan’s daughter Aaradhya became a national news story. People on the internet were divided over whether the haircut was cute or not, and it was a major topic of discussion for days. The star kid became a topic for memes that went viral on social media. People were in for a surprise when she amazed everyone with her stellar performance at her school’s annual function that also showed her in a new hairdo as required for her role.

While Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer movie ‘Pathaan’ opened to bumper bo-office collections and became one of the first superhits of the year, the film faced the ire of the boycott gang for Deepika’s saffron coloured bikini in the dance number ‘Besharam Rang.’

The Hindutva activists across the country raised objections to the dance sequence where Shah Rukh Khan is wearing a green colour shirt and Deepika is flaunting a saffron outfit.
