India Launches Vivo Y36 with Snapdragon 680 SoC and 44W Fast Charging: Price and Specifications Revealed

The Vivo Y36 was officially launched in India on Thursday, June 20th. This new addition to the Vivo Y series is available in two color options and features a stunning 2.5D curved glass body. Powered by the Snapdragon 680 SoC and 8GB of RAM, this mid-range smartphone offers improved performance with its extended RAM feature. The Vivo Y36 also boasts a 50-megapixel dual rear camera unit and is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging. It was first released in Indonesia last month.

Vivo Y36 Price in India and Availability

The Vivo Y36 is priced at Rs. 16,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. It is available in Meteor Black and Vibrant Gold colors. You can purchase the phone through Vivo India’s E-store, Flipkart, and all partner retail stores. Flipkart is also offering a flat Rs. 1,500 cashback for HDFC bank debit card and EMI transactions, as well as an additional Rs. 500 off on purchases with SBI cards and EMI transactions.

Vivo Y36 Specifications

The Vivo Y36 is a dual-SIM (Nano) smartphone that runs on Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13. It features a 6.64-inch full-HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display includes a centrally placed notch for the selfie camera. Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core 6nm Snapdragon 680 SoC with 8GB of RAM and 8GB of extended RAM.

In terms of photography, the Vivo Y36 comes with a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens and a 2-megapixel bokeh shooter. For selfies, it has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The camera setup supports various photography modes such as Super Night mode, Multi Style Portrait, and Bokeh Flare Portrait, among others.

The phone offers 128GB of storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB via a dedicated microSD card slot. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS/A-GPS, and USB Type-C port. It is equipped with sensors like an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, e-compass, and gyroscope. The Vivo Y36 also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

With a 5,000mAh battery and 44W fast charging support, the Vivo Y36 promises quick charging times. In fact, the in-house fast charging technology is capable of filling the battery from zero to 30 percent in just 15 minutes. The phone measures 164.06×76.17×8.17mm and weighs 202 grams.
