iHEAL 6: New smartwatch promises ECG, blood pressure and blood sugar measurement at an affordable price

iHEAL 6: New smartwatch with lots of functions

The iHeal 6 is a new and suspiciously inexpensive smartwatch that can supposedly measure numerous vital parameters. The watch also comes in three colors.

We have already published a number of articles about Kospet: the manufacturer has been offering new smartwatches in quick succession, which are advertised with almost far-fetched sensor technology. In principle, the sensor technology advertised by Kospet are indeed possible on a smartwatch. However, the advertised blood glucose measurement is unlikely to be accurate under any circumstances, so diabetics in particular should not take the display values for granted. The blood glucose curve shown by Kospet as a demonstration also seems absolutely unrealistic. Furthermore, the watch is said to be able to measure both heart rate and blood oxygen saturation. But once again, the precise measurement of blood pressure is also likely to be an exaggerated advertising promise. It is completely unclear to what extent the optical sensor technology can generate accurate values at all. EGCs are also supposed to be possible.

The watch is equipped with a large 2.01-inch screen with a resolution of 240 x 296. It is 12 millimeters thick and weighs around 40 grams, has a 280 mAh battery, which should last for 15 days in typical use and a week in intensive use, such as recording a lot of sporting activities. A microphone and loudspeaker are installed, allowing the iHeal 6 to be used both as a Bluetooth hands-free device and for interaction with digital assistants. As usual, analysis of sleep quality and duration is promised, and music playback from a paired smartphone can be controlled. Notifications can be displayed and your own photos can be used as a background on the watch face.

The watch is said to be IP67-protected, which translates to protection against dust and water. The iHeal 6 is now available at a price of just under $50. Shipping costs and import duties may also apply.

Possible alternatives: Buy the Fitbit Sense 2 or the Amazfit Balance at Amazon.
