There’s a plethora of exciting Pokémon news that may be unveiled during the upcoming livestream. One highly anticipated announcement relates to the upcoming DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, which is scheduled for release later this year. Fans can also expect updates on The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk expansions, both of which have been teased previously, along with the introduction of five new Pokémon.
Earlier this summer, Nintendo revealed that Detective Pikachu Returns, the sequel to 2016’s Detective Pikachu for Nintendo 3DS, will be available on October 6th. It would be the perfect time to delve into the game’s mechanics and storyline.
Pokémon Sleep, the sleep-tracking app, was recently launched on iOS and Android. While it’s expected that the app will be showcased during the livestream, The Pokémon Company also has several other ongoing mobile projects, such as Pokémon Go, Pokémon Café ReMix, and Pokémon Unite.
Furthermore, fans have long been anticipating the release of the original Pokémon Red and Blue games on Switch Online. Nintendo has been gradually adding Game Boy titles to the subscription service, but strangely, Pokémon Red and Blue have been omitted so far. Even N64’s Pokémon Stadium is available through Nintendo’s Switch Online.
Fans can tune in to Pokémon Presents on the official YouTube channel on August 8th at 9am ET/6am PT to catch all the exciting updates.
