Honor Magic6 and 6 Pro Porsche Desing renders surface online.

Honor and the luxury design company Porsche Design recently announced a deal to collaborate on upcoming high-end smartphone designs. Not much was unveiled about said phones except that the first models are expected to arrive in January 2024.

As per a new leak, the first Porsche Design models will probably be the Magic6 Pro and the Magic6 Porsche Design. The leak comes from a Weibo user and features two different phone models. The Magic6 Porsche Design, as depicted in the leaked image, has a two-note horizontal design and what seems like a leather finish. Both the Honor and Porsche Design logos are clearly visible on the back.

Next, we have the Magic6 Pro, which still looks at least a bit like last year’s Magic5 Pro. The circular camera cluster looks to be a bit tighter this year and is notably complete with an accelerometer-inspired design on the outer diameter of the island. In our opinion, it’s a bit tacky, but we can see an audience for it.

As far as we currently know there will pe three “mainline” Honor6 models – the vanilla Honor6, the Honor6 Pro and the Honor6 Ultimate. It is yet to be seen whether each of these devices will also get a separate Porsche Design edition. Mind you, there already is a Magic6 Lite, which is a rebranded Honot X9b and probably won’t be getting the Porsche Design treatment.

We do have some early tipped specs for some of the Magic6 devices. The Pro model is expected to have a QHD OLED display and a pill-shaped cutout for a dual selfie camera. The latter will likely be incorporated into a Smart Island notification features. Also on the specs sheet is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and potentially a dedicated graphics and security chip.

The regular Magic6 is expected to debut an interesting 160MP periscope zoom camera as well as variable aperture on its main OV50H or OV50K camera. 66W wired charging is also in the cards.
