Hints and Answers for Quordle Today – Tuesday, June 20 (Game #512)

Get ready for your daily dose of Quordle hints, along with the answers to both the main game and the Daily Sequence spin-off. Quordle is one of the few Wordle clones that has managed to keep me hooked even after 18 months since the word-game craze took over the internet. And there’s a good reason for that – it’s challenging yet fun.

The creators of Quordle, now Merriam-Webster, have also introduced a new variant called the Daily Sequence. In this version, you have to solve four puzzles consecutively instead of simultaneously. But be warned, Quordle is not easy. So if you’re already searching for hints for Wordle, you’ll probably need them for Quordle as well.

As a Quordle and Wordle enthusiast who has been playing since December 2021, I’m here to help you solve Quordle today and improve your gameplay for tomorrow. Keep reading for my Quordle hints for game #512 and the answers to the main game and Daily Sequence. Spoiler alert: The answers are below, so if you don’t want to know them, stop reading now.

Quordle FAQs: Everything You Need to Know

1. What is Quordle?

Quordle offers four puzzles for you to solve, unlike Wordle which presents a single five-letter word challenge each day. You have nine guesses to find the answers in Quordle, compared to six in Wordle. The game is played online through the Quordle website, which can also be accessed on Merriam-Webster’s site since they acquired Quordle last year. Just like Wordle, the answers are the same for all players worldwide, turning it into a global competition. The puzzles reset at midnight, giving you a fresh challenge every day. The website also features a practice mode, which I highly recommend using before diving into the actual game. Additionally, you can track your streak count and earn Quordle Achievements for various accomplishments, such as winning a game in a certain number of turns. Brace yourself, though, as Quordle is notoriously difficult.

2. What are the Quordle rules?

The rules of Quordle closely resemble those of Wordle:

1. Letters in the correct place are highlighted in green.
2. Letters that are correct but in the wrong position are marked in yellow.
3. Letters that are not part of the answer are displayed in gray.
4. However, bear in mind that the letters you guess appear in all four quadrants of the puzzle simultaneously. This means that a letter may turn green in one quadrant, yellow in another, and gray in the remaining two.
5. The answers are never plural.
6. Letters can be repeated. If you include two of a particular letter in your guess, they may both turn yellow, both turn green, or one may turn yellow while the other turns green.
7. Each guess must be a valid word in Quordle’s dictionary. You cannot guess random combinations of letters.
8. Subsequent guesses do not have to contain correct letters, and there is no Hard mode equivalent to Wordle.
9. You have a total of nine guesses to find the answers in Quordle.
10. Make sure to complete the daily Quordle before midnight in your timezone.

3. What is a good Quordle strategy?

Approach Quordle differently than you would Wordle. With four puzzles in nine guesses, blindly guessing letters won’t suffice. A strategic approach is crucial, even more so in Quordle. Remember the following:

1. Use multiple starting words. One starting word won’t be enough. Start with one of the best Wordle starting words, which will likely work well in Quordle too. After that, select another word or possibly two that use up common consonants and any remaining vowels. For example, STARE > DOILY > PUNCH. These three words cover 15 letters of the alphabet, including all five vowels, Y, and nine common consonants. Feel free to experiment and include letters like M, B, F, or G to fit your strategy. This approach should give you a solid lead on one or two of the answers.
2. Be prepared for challenges. Quordle is notoriously difficult, so don’t get discouraged. Practice and persistence are key to improving your skills.

Good luck with your Quordle journey!
