Google plans to surpass competition with Gemini, its upcoming AI tool

Google is rumored to be developing an innovative AI tool called Gemini, which combines text and image generation capabilities to outperform its competitors. The project is led by former members of Google Brain and DeepMind, including Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google.

Google employees will start using Gemini in the fall, and app developers will have access to it by the end of the year. This AI tool will utilize Google’s large language models (LLMs) and an AI image generation technology similar to DALL-E and Stable Diffusion.

Gemini is also expected to be integrated into various Google products, such as Google Docs, Gmail, and Google Photos. Developers can access Gemini through the Google Cloud server rental unit, which requires a fee.

According to reports, Google uses YouTube video transcripts to train Gemini, while ensuring legal compliance. The company’s lawyers closely monitor the training materials to avoid copyright violations.

With Gemini, Google aims to provide a versatile and comprehensive AI product that meets diverse needs and tasks. The future of Google’s Bard AI, however, remains uncertain.
