Google Pixel Watch 3 will reportedly come in two sizes

One of the key design complaints for the past two Google Pixel Watch smartwatches is that they are too small. Well, according to a source of 9To5Google, Google is planning to address this matter. The source says two different sizes of the Google Pixel Watch 3 are being developed this year.

There’s no further information on how much of a size difference there might be between the two variants of the Google Pixel Watch 3. Taking a closer look at the market, Samsung is offering the Galaxy Watch 6 in 44 mm (curr. $269 on Amazon) and 40 mm sizes. Its lineup also includes the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic in 43 mm and 47 mm (curr. $312 on Amazon) options.

The story is the same for the Apple Watch Series 9. It’s available in 45 mm and 41 mm (curr. $329 on Amazon) sizes. To compare, both the 1st generation and 2nd generation of the Google Pixel Watch come in one size, which is 41 mm. While this size works for many, others find it a bit too small, especially when compared to the larger options of the competitors.

A larger size for the Google Pixel Watch 3 could potentially bring better specs. For example, it could allow Google to integrate a larger battery and more sensors. Large smartwatch options also come with bigger screens, offering more information at a glance and making interaction with the watch easier.
