Google Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro now available in India: Price, offers and more

Google launched its flagship Pixel 8 series of smartphones earlier this month in India. The Pixel 8 series comprises two smartphones — Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. The smartphones run Android 14 operating system and are powered by Google’s own Tensor G3 chipset.
Both the new Pixel smartphones are now up for sale in India. You can purchase the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro online from Flipkart.in.
Price and offers
The Pixel 8 comes at Rs 75,999 and Rs 82,999 for the 128GB and 256GB, respectively. The Pixel 8 Pro is priced at Rs 1,06,999 in India for the lone 128GB storage variant.
Customers purchasing the Pixel 8 series can also avail come offers. As part of the launch offers, Flipkart is offering discount of up to Rs 8,000 on Pixel 8 purchases made using ICICI, Kotak Mahindra, and Axis Bank cards. Additionally, customers have the opportunity to avail Rs 3,000 discount when they exchange their old phone.
Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro specifications
The Google Pixel 8 showcases a 6.2-inch OLED display boasting FHD+ resolution, a swift refresh rate of 120Hz, and a peak brightness hitting 2,000 nits. On the other hand, the Pixel 8 Pro stands out with its slightly larger 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display, maintaining a flat design this time, and offering a higher QHD+ resolution. It operates within a dynamic refresh rate range of 1-120Hz and can achieve an impressive brightness of up to 2,400 nits. Both models are IP68 rated, ensuring resilience against water and dust.
Both the smartphones run Android 14 operating system and are powered by Google’s own Tensor G3 chipset. Both Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro feature a temperature sensor, called thermometer feature. It offers a way to take the temperature of drinks, meals and more. Users can select from: “food and organic,” “cast iron,” “plastic and rubber,” “fabric” and more.
The camera setup on both the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro has seen notable upgrades. Both models feature a 50MP Octa PD wide camera with a 1/1.31″ image sensor, 1.2 μm pixel size, and an aperture of ƒ/1.68. However, they differ in the ultrawide camera department. The Pixel 8 Pro boasts a significantly higher resolution for its ultrawide camera—four times that of the 12MP sensor found in the Pixel 8—resulting in the ability to capture highly detailed wide-angle images. Additionally, the Pixel 8 Pro is equipped with a 5x optical periscope zoom and a powerful 48MP sensor underneath for enhanced zoom capabilities.
