Gamers worldwide are eagerly awaiting the launch of Fortnite Chapter 4, Season 3, entitled ‘Fortnite Wilds’. The new season is scheduled for release on June 9th on all major platforms including PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Android. However, a big update is expected to accompany the new season, along with a period of extended server downtime. According to Epic Games, the servers will be taken offline for maintenance at 7am BST UK time on the morning of June 9th. Matchmaking will be disabled at around 6.30am BST.

The update will include a new Battle Pass, new points of interest, and new gameplay features. Players can now ride raptors, grind vines, and unleash destruction with a new Mythic. The Fortnite and Transformers crossover does not seem to be limited to a regular Optimus Prime skin; Optimus Primal will also make an appearance. The skin will be available in the item shop, alongside the Maximal Emblem Back Bling and the Sonic Swords Pickaxe. Fortnite fan Shiina reported that audio logs and story quests will also return.

The Season 3 patch notes include general fixes, locker fixes, and ranked Battle Royale fixes. The Season 3 theme is tropical, with a temple and a volcano among the new points of interest being added. In addition, a selection of new skins, including a collaboration with the Transformers franchise, will be available on the Battle Pass.

As the launch of Fortnite Chapter 4, Season 3 nears, Epic Games has released several teasers for Fortnite Wilds, including the Fortnite Wilds cinematic trailer, which showcased rideable raptors and vines that can be used to traverse the map. Slone will also make a return.

While the server downtime is expected to be longer than usual and patch sizes are likely to be larger, fans are eagerly anticipating the new season and all its fresh content. Keep checking back for the latest developments on Fortnite Wilds.
