Galaxy S24 Series Inches Closer to Launch as the Devices are Now FCC Certified

Given how December is starting shortly, you can expect a lot of information on the Galaxy S24 series in the coming month. The phones are scheduled to be released in January 2024, and this means that all sorts of information is going to come your way. Now, all three phones in the family have gone through their FCC certification, which means that they are ever so close to the official launch.

Galaxy S24 Ultra to feature Wi-Fi 7, while the other two models will be limited to Wi-Fi 6E

Let’s start with the Galaxy S24 and its Plus variant because a lot of people still see them as different devices. These phones have received their FCC certification, which confirms a number of things about these devices. The base variant will bring model numbers SM-S921U and SM-S921U1, one being carrier-locked and being unlocked in the U.S. Moving onto the Plus variant, you are looking at the model numbers SM-S926U and SM-S926U1.

Now, the FCC certification for the Galaxy S24 and the Plus variant also revealed some other key information, such as the fact that both phones support Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and UWB (Ultra-wideband, mmWave, and Sub-6GHz 5G. There is also Wi-Fi 6E, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging under the hood.

Moving onto the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the phone comes with model numbers SM-S928U and SM-S928U1 and has all the specs except that there is Wi-Fi 7 support under the hood, something that its younger siblings lack.

Given the frequency of these leaks, it is more than safe to say that the Galaxy S24 series is a lot closer to the official launch, and we cannot wait to see the devices in person. I am particularly excited about the Ultra variant since I skipped the S23 Ultra, so I am hoping for a real upgrade in terms of the camera department and, honestly, across the entire board.
