‘Futurama’ arrives in ‘Fortnite’ with Planet Express Ship glider

In a thrilling new crossover, Fortnite has partnered with Futurama to introduce Bender, Fry, and Leela skins into the battle royale game. Along with these new character skins, players can also find various references to the beloved show.

One exciting addition is Bender’s Shiny Metal Raygun, a powerful mythic weapon that can be purchased from a character located on the edge of Mega City’s western pier. This weapon fires plasma and offers infinite ammo, but players must be careful not to overheat it.

Another new addition is the Mammoth Pistol, which is highly accurate for long-range shots and deals significant damage. However, its fire rate is lower, providing players with an alternative to sniper rifles or marksman rifles.

The Bender, Fry, and Leela skins can be found in the in-game Item Shop for 1,500 V-Bucks each, or players can purchase the trio for 2,800 V-Bucks. These skins also come with an alternate Universe 1 style, inspired by the parallel universes featured in the episode “The Farnsworth Parabox,” as well as unique Back Bling.

Bender’s skin offers the Ben Rodríguez Back Bling, Fry’s skin comes with the Hypnotoad Back Bling, and Leela’s skin includes the Nibbler Back Bling. Additionally, players can purchase three new Futurama-themed pickaxes – the Unbendable Girder, Giant Nutcracker, and Solid Gold Fiddle – individually for 800 V-Bucks each.

Fortnite has also introduced the Planet Express Ship glider and the Zoidberg Scuttle emote, available for 800 V-Bucks and 500 V-Bucks, respectively. For players looking for a complete package, the Futurama Gear Bundle is available for 1,800 V-Bucks, which includes the pickaxes, glider, and emote.

In addition to the Futurama content, Epic Games has introduced two new augments with this update – Pistol Recycle and Scoped Salvo. They have also unvaulted the lever-action shotgun to provide players with even more variety in their gameplay.

In other gaming news, Baldur’s Gate 3 introduces a new feature called Karmic Dice, which has unintended consequences for players as enemies become more powerful and can easily defeat the heroes.
