Forza Motorsport’s Career Mode: Cars Progress with Each Corner and a Constant Online Experience

In the realm of Forza Motorsport, the principles of leveling, constructing, and dominating reign supreme. This rebooted game isn’t just about purchasing cars and forgetting them after a single race; it’s about forging a lasting connection with each vehicle.

Turn 10 has grand aspirations for this new game, and they showcased a glimpse of their ambitions through an extensive preview of the career mode.

Does this leap meet your expectations?

Enter the Builders Cup, the starting point of this fresh career mode. The Builders Cup consists of various playlists, a standard feature in Forza games. Each playlist revolves around a specific theme, era, body type, or design. Turn 10 intends to regularly update these playlists with additional tracks and cars.

However, there is a caveat – the career mode requires an internet connection at all times, rendering offline progress impossible. Although some modes can be played offline, the Builders Cup (the primary mode) demands a constant online presence.

Creative Director Chris Esaki confirmed this detail during the latest Forza Monthly livestream. While this may be new to Forza, other racing simulators such as Gran Turismo 7 have implemented the necessity of a persistent internet connection for their career modes.

Now, let’s delve into the intriguing realm of car progression. Car Mastery introduces a vehicle leveling system where your car earns experience points at every turn of the track. This mechanic aims to enhance your familiarity with the car and cultivate a bond between you and your ride.

When it comes to car customization, each vehicle comes with a designated set of points that you can allocate to enhance its performance and tailor it to specific styles. The higher your car’s level, the more points you’ll have at your disposal and the greater selection of upgrades you can access.

Forza Motorsport will make its debut on October 10 on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
