Forsaken and Night Elf Heritage Armor Finally Arriving in WoW: Dragonflight’s Next Update

The next update for World of Warcraft: Dragonflight will bring an exciting addition for Forsaken and Night Elf players. They will finally be able to showcase their unique style with the introduction of their long-awaited Heritage Armor sets. This update, titled “Fury Incarnate,” will not only provide these players with the highly anticipated armor, but also offer new customization options for each race. Forsaken players will have the opportunity to choose from five new skin colors, while Night Elves can select from a variety of face and body tattoos. Although Blizzard hasn’t unveiled the Night Elf set yet, the Forsaken Heritage Armor appears appropriately undead, adorned with spikes, skulls, and coffins.

In addition to the Heritage Armor sets, patch 10.1.7 will introduce a new type of public event called Dreamsurges. Throughout the Dragon Isles, portals from the Emerald Dream will spawn, allowing players to engage in battles against rare creatures and event bosses. By defeating these formidable opponents, players can obtain powerful new gear.

The update also includes new story quests that will set the stage for the game’s 10.2 update later in the year. Given the introduction of public events and hints discovered through data mining, it is likely that the 10.2 update will take players on a journey to the Emerald Dream itself. Furthermore, the game will feature a series of quests serving as an epilogue to the Bronze Dragonflight-focused events of the recent Fractures in Time update, as well as a continuation of the ongoing Reforging of Tyr storyline. Blizzard has announced that the Fury Incarnate update will soon be available for testing on the game’s public test realm.

With the addition of Night Elf and Forsaken Heritage Armor sets, a few races in World of Warcraft still lack their own unique armor sets, namely Trolls, Draenei, and Pandaren. Patch 10.0.7 introduced Orc and Human Heritage Armor sets, showcasing Blizzard’s commitment to providing these special sets for each race.

Blizzard has managed to stay on track with their initial 2023 content roadmap for WoW, as stated by WoW game director Ion Hazzikostas in a recent interview with GameSpot. The more frequent updates have resulted in higher player retention and provided the development team with greater flexibility. Hazzikostas also confirmed that WoW will not offer the game’s Trading Post currency as a standalone product for purchase, but may include it in expansion deluxe editions or specific shop bundles in the future.

WoW’s Fractures in Time update, which arrived on July 11, introduced a new megadungeon (which will be split into two Heroic dungeons in patch 10.1.7) and a new support-style DPS specialization for Evokers.
