Elon Musk Says Cage Fight With Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg Will Be Livestreamed on X

Elon Musk recently took to social media to announce that his much-anticipated cage fight with Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, will be live-streamed on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

These two social media moguls have been goading each other into a mixed martial arts cage match in Las Vegas since June, and now it seems they will finally settle their differences in the ring.

In a post on X, Musk stated, “The Zuck v Musk fight will be live-streamed on X, with all proceeds going to charity for veterans.” Unfortunately, no additional details about the live stream were provided at this time.

Prior to this announcement, Elon Musk shared on X that he has been dedicating his time to intense weightlifting, as part of his preparation for the fight. He even brings the weights to work since he’s too busy to hit the gym.

When a user on X asked Musk about the purpose of this fight, Musk replied, “It’s a civilized form of war. Men love war,” reflecting his mindset behind the spectacle.

As of now, Meta has not responded to a request for comment from Reuters regarding Musk’s post.

It all started on June 20 when Musk initially expressed his willingness to engage in a cage match with Zuckerberg, who happens to be trained in jiujitsu. The two have been in a back-and-forth since then.

Zuckerberg, who has proudly shared images of his victorious matches on Instagram, responded to Musk’s challenge by asking him to “send the location” for this anticipated showdown. Musk promptly suggested Las Vegas’ Octagon, a renowned venue for mixed martial arts championship bouts.

Musk proclaimed that he would begin training if the cage fight were to become a reality.
