Elon Musk Accuses Threads of Being a ‘Copycat’ App due to a Specific Feature

Threads, backed by Meta, is a direct competition for Twitter. This app shares many similarities with Twitter and recently announced measures to counter spam attacks. Adam Mosseri, head of Instagram, stated that they will tighten rate limits to combat spam. However, this may unintentionally limit active users. Mosseri encourages users to report any restrictions they encounter.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, recently imposed a limit on Twitter users, restricting their ability to view tweets beyond a certain number. Musk took the opportunity to mock Threads, implying that they copied this feature from Twitter.

Earlier this month, Twitter implemented restrictions to prevent excessive data scraping and system manipulation. Musk expressed concerns about organizations scraping Twitter data, which has negatively impacted the user experience. Musk blamed companies using large amounts of data to train AI language models.

While Threads may have different reasons, it is likely to encounter spam and bot accounts, similar to what Twitter has faced.
