Similarly, Elizabeth Olsen’s reflections on WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness have raised a few eyebrows, with suspicions that they were backhanded compliments at best.
Olsen spoke fondly about her time shooting WandaVision, but it was notable that she didn’t mention Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness at all. This fuels speculations that the sequel suffered from a poor screenplay and weak characterization, and that it failed to live up to director Sam Raimi’s high standards.
Despite this, Olsen’s portrayal of Wanda Maximoff is too significant to be replaced, and she would inevitably return to bring Wanda’s arc to a satisfying conclusion, much to her fans’ delight.
