EA Sports FC 24: Unveiling Release Date, Inclusion of Women’s Football in Ultimate Team, and Exciting Additions

EA Sports FC 24, the rebranded football simulation game franchise, has unveiled its full details, including a release date of September 29. This aligns with previous leaks that suggested the game would be available in early access on September 22 for those who pre-order the Ultimate Edition. The cover star for the game is Erling Haaland, a footballer from Manchester City F.C., who made a surprise appearance at EA’s global event in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The event also featured a speech by Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson, who managed to avoid slipping up and accidentally saying the word “FIFA.”

While FC24 is essentially the same FIFA game that fans have known for years, it does come with new branding and a few unique features. One notable addition is the inclusion of women’s football in the Ultimate Team mode for the first time. The game allows players to have both male and female footballers on the same team and pitch, rather than separating them into separate divisions. The addition of two new women’s leagues, Liga F and Frauen-Bundesliga, further enhances the presence of women’s football in the game.

EA Sports has also secured agreements with various football leagues to ensure the authenticity of FC24. This includes featuring hundreds of stadiums, over 19,000 players, and more than 30 official leagues, such as the Premier League, La Liga, and the UEFA Champions League. The decision to rebrand the game from FIFA came after a financial dispute with the footballing body, with EA Sports pulling out of the agreement. The CEO cited the limited value they received from the FIFA brand, claiming that it was only the “four letters on the box.”

The game is built on the enhanced Frostbite Engine, providing smoother animations and redesigned player models. HyperMotion technology has been employed to capture volumetric data from over 180 professional men’s and women’s football matches, resulting in more realistic movements in the game. PlayStyles have also been introduced to showcase the unique abilities of individual players, going beyond traditional player ratings. Additionally, the company has introduced Ultimate Team Evolutions, allowing players to upgrade throughout the season based on individual objectives.

Pre-orders for EA Sports FC 24 are now available. The Standard Edition offers various bonuses, including cover star loan player items, ambassador loan items, Player Career Personality Points, and a 5-star coach for the manager mode. The Ultimate Edition includes all of these bonuses, along with seven days of early access, FIFA Points, a UCL Ultimate Team Hero, and a Team of the Week 1 player.

The pricing for the game varies depending on the platform, with the Standard Edition starting at Rs. 3,499 on PC and Rs. 4,499 on consoles. The Ultimate Edition is priced at Rs. 5,199 on PC and Rs. 6,499 on Xbox and PlayStation. Both editions offer a 10% discount with EA Play on consoles.

For those interested in the system requirements, the minimum requirements include a 64-bit Windows 10 operating system, Intel Core i5-6600K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 processor, 8GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti or AMD Radeon RX 570 graphics card, and 100GB of storage. The recommended requirements include a 64-bit Windows 10 operating system, Intel Core i7-6700 or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X processor, 12GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT graphics card, and 100GB of storage.

EA Sports FC 24 will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and the Nintendo Switch on September 29, with early access for Ultimate Edition pre-orders starting on September 22.
