Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs was initially released in 2013, and is set in London at the turn of the 20th century. You play as Oswald Mandus, a wealthy industrialist/adventurer who wakes up in his mansion at the start of the game with no recollection of his recent past. It is up to you to unravel his troubled history as you navigate the eerie mansion. A word of caution: this Amnesia game should not be played by the faint-hearted, even though it is a decade old, it contains some incredibly effective scares, an unsettling environment, and a sound design that will send shivers down your spine.
Looking to the present day, Amnesia: The Bunker has also received positive reviews.
