Marvel Studios, once considered Disney’s golden goose, is now facing losses and controversies. Despite these issues, Disney has other ventures such as the highly anticipated film Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, which may end up performing better at the box office than The Little Mermaid. Another classic animated film gaining attention from Disney is The Princess and the Frog, but not in the form of a live-action remake.

Starting with The Princess and the Frog, Disney plans to replace the now closed Splash Mountain at Disney World, Orlando with a new ride called Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. An installation of a tiara-topped water tower, resembling the one worn by Tiana in the film, confirms this project.

Meanwhile, a director who was approached for Black Widow but declined the opportunity has voiced criticism of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Lucrecia Martin states her dislike for the sound design and music choices in Marvel films.

Furthermore, the future looks bleak for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny in terms of box office performance, even worse than The Little Mermaid. If the film flops, it could contribute to a reported $900 million loss for Disney across its last eight projects.
